Hendrikson & Ko has been making maps for already 10 years. Initially it meant simple themed maps for environmental evaluations. When the departments of general and detailed planning grew, maps become more important in the work. In the course of the years, the amount and difficulty of the maps escalated and to make work more efficient, a separate unit was formed – the department of cartography and geoinformatics.
We help to analyze and visualize conditions, ideas and plans. The department employs three people who have worked in the field of cartography and geoinformatics for five to fifteen years. We are proud to say that we have created maps for 50 different local governments' general or partial plans, carried out geographical analyses for several spatially high-impact objects, compiled maps for counties' topical plans and countless environment evaluation maps. We utilize licences GIS and cartography software like MapInfo, MicroStation, AutoCAD and Adobe Illustrator.
Our department's assets are extensive experience and flexibility. As a small team, we can tailor the work processes to each individual assignment. We make maps for all purposes and in all scales (large working maps, topical maps, visualizations, planning maps, large environment evaluation maps, small schematic maps, wall maps etc.) and we have experience with about ten different licensed or free pieces of software. We can make vector images in different file formats (tab, dgn, dwg, dxf, ai, shp), just like the client needs.
